The world of mixed martial arts is witnessing the rise of a new rivalry in the middleweight division. Khamzat Chimaev and Dricus Du Plessis set social media ablaze with their banter, as they took turns pulling each other’s legs. Needless to say, one of the jibes that ‘Stillknocks’ sent toward ‘Borz’ included comments about middleweight #12’s frequent and severe illness.

Not too long ago, the Chechen Wolf took to social media and released a jacked picture of himself. But the middleweight champion was ready with his mockery. He took to the comments section and wrote, “Put a shirt on princess before you catch another cold.”

This was indeed a response to Khamzat Chimaev claiming that Du Plessis was simply a bad version of himself. Talking to Adam Zubayraev, Chimaev revealed that he prefers to fight the MW champ because the fight would be pretty convenient for him. He said, “We have the technique, wrestling, and counter-wrestling to take him down and hold him. And he knows it himself. That’s why he’s silent about me.”

Chimaev wasted no time in removing the post from his Instagram profile after Du Plessis swooped into the comments section. However, the fight fans were quick enough to take notes and share the screenshots on social media. As soon as the post crossed the threshold of the social media platform, the fight fans took over the comments section and expressed themselves.

A few of the fans looked back at the time when Du Plessis extracted tears out of Sean Strickland and Israel Adesanya during the media day for their fights. One fan wrote, “Bro is about to make another man cry.” Another comment read, “That’s gonna be a hard one to come back from.”

No wonder the fighting community believed that the champion had developed his trash-talking skills to the maximum extent. One of the fans claimed, “Bro has unmatched trash talk.” Meanwhile, another fan commented, “Dricus is one of the best sh-t talkers in the UFC.”

But the world of mixed martial arts wasn’t oblivious to Chimaev’s pull-out trend. The last time he was set to fight Robert Whittaker, ‘Borz’ was forced to pull out of the fight just a few days before the date. It was revealed that the Swedish fighter was “violently ill” and was hospitalized. A fan revealed that DDP voiced nothing but the truth. The comment read, “He ain’t lyin though.”

A few of the fans found DDP’s words to be extremely funny. One fan commented, “Nah that’s actually funny af.” However, when it came to a matchup between the two, the majority of the fighting world believed that the Chechen Wolf was strong enough to easily defeat Du Plessis. One other fan commented, “that’s hilarious but Khamzat would violate bro.” Another comment read, “Khamzat will k-ll DDP.”
