The UFC 280 had ‘Mystic Mac’ tweeting once again. He congratulated the new Lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev. Further adding that he has what is required to beat Makhachev. Recently, the coach of Islam Makhachev, Javier Mendez, appeared as an on-call guest on the MMA covering YouTube channel, ‘Submission Radio’. He was asked to describe his thoughts about McGregor’s tweet about having the “tools” to beat Islam Makhachev.
Javier Mendez agreed to Conor McGregor
The anchors on the show talked about how the excitement of Islam Makhachev’s victory is still all over the media. Still, they couldn’t help but ask about McGregor’s tweets since they were in a massive discussion as well.
One of the anchors said, “I know we’re having a good time talking about the UFC 280 and Islam Makhachev’s win itself. But I have to ask it.” He probably knew that McGregor wasn’t a person of Mendez’s choice.
He mentioned, “I know that he is not exactly your favorite person. But, I wanna know sort of what you thought of Conor McGregor basically tweeting out that he’s figured out and he now has the tools to beat Islam Makhachev.”
He ended with a “What did you think about that?”. Javier Mendez agreed, “He has the tool to beat anybody”. It was apparent that McGregor’s immense potential simply cannot be denied.
Javier Mendez saw a lack of will in McGregor
Adding to his previous words, Javier also mentioned that, “really he’s been mentally incomplete there”. He also went on to take a shot at McGregor, saying, “When is the last time when he had a complete fight where he fought properly?”

Mendez, like a lot of fans, was of the opinion that despite being one of the very best in MMA, ‘Mystic Mac’ was lacking the determination to be at the top of the UFC once again. Mendez also mentioned that McGregor had been “proven to be beatable”. He added that McGregor was not “indestructible”.
‘Makhachev’s coach’ also looked a bit annoyed while ending, “He can hype up anything so let him hype it up, I don’t care for him anyways”.
