Big brother Khabib Nurmagomedov believes that all anyone has to ever do in the UFC is to keep fighting. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who the opponent is. Nurmagomedov himself had a similar journey where he fought smaller fighters before fighting for the gold. For his cousin, he predicts a similar fate.

“I am the big brother and I always told them,” he told MMA Junkie, “if you guys, if somebody don’t wanna fight with you, okay fight with anybody. You know, the UFC is a very big organization. If somebody from top ten he don’t wanna fight, okay leave these guys alone.”

“You just have to keep winning and end of the days, you’ll fight for the title. This is happened with me, this is happened with Islam and I’m sure is gonna happen with Umar too.” Clearly, Nurmagomedov has spoken here from experience.

What do you think about the former champ’s take? His cousin is rightfully going well and tonight might be bigger challenges as Almakhan boasts 11 wins and only one loss in his MMA career. Will the Dagestani reign supreme? There’s clearly a lot of legacy riding on his journey in the UFC. A legacy big enough for even current champs to desire a fight with ‘The Eagle.
