Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s teammate Belal Muhammad took to social media following Luque’s win over Rafael dos Anjos. He wondered what was next for ‘The Silent Assassin’. Moreover, he ideated a fight between the welterweight star and former UFC interim champion Dustin Poirier. He said, “Luque and Dustin next ?”

Dustin Poirier just lost his chance to become the second-ever BMF at UFC 291. He got knocked out by Justin Gaethje with a head kick, which became a highlight of the event. Following his loss, ‘The Diamond’ hinted at a move to the welterweight division. It looked like the perfect idea for Poirier since he’s already achieved everything he could as a lightweight. Moreover, Vicente Luque has shown his interest in fighting the former interim champion.

While he did mention his urge to break into the top five in the welterweight division, he also ideated a fight against Dustin Poirier.
