There were rumors surrounding that ‘The Eagle’ may join politics since his retirement from all forms of MMA. However, a close source of Nurmagomedov has confirmed as reported by Tass.ru that the former lightweight would not pursue a career in politics. “Khabib does not plan to pursue a political career.”

Moreover, the source also added what other avenues Nurmagomedov might pursue in the near future. The source said, “It is likely that he can pay more attention to his football-related business.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov had earlier denied any interest in politics

In a 2019 interview with Match TV, the Eagle FC owner said, “We’ll see. At the moment I have no such plans. Now I can benefit without politics. I want to stay free. When you are in politics, you have to devote yourself completely to this.”
Moreover, in his charming way, Nurmagomedov added, “You know, the eagle must fly. He can’t sit somewhere. Sit in the same room. It will not be enough. At 8 in the morning he came, at 5 in the evening he left. This is a little boring for me.”
