

Being at the top of mixed martial arts is not an easy job, and only the elite fighters are able to reach there. Top promotion, like UFC, attracts special fighters as being the promotion’s champion grants an extraordinary prestige. Former UFC champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, has lived that life and is well versed with all the responsibilities a champion has to face.

However, his protégé, Islam Makhachev, complained about doing media rounds, which did not sit well with Nurmagomedov.
Khabib Nurmagomedov fired back at Makhachev for complaining about media
In the latest behind-the-scenes video of UFC Vegas 49, Nurmagomedov and his protege were seen doing media rounds. Being a former world champion of the promotion, he understands the importance of media duties. However, the same thing can’t be applied to the inexperienced Makhachev who has only been on the rise in the ranks of the lightweight division in recent times.
The lightweight fighter complained about doing media duties, which often irks fighters the wrong way. However, Nurmagomedov quickly slammed his fighter for making complaints and stated that this was a part of his job.

He said,” Coach Javier said, if you don’t want just lose nobody is gonna come, everything very simple.” he even advised him to take it easy,” Brother relax, relax, this is your job brother, this is your job brother. Like coach says, ‘if you don’t want to make a lot of interviews, just lose, nobody’s gonna come.”
“You have to lose, but if you wanna become champion, then ok.’ Who cares about you’re tired, you’re so tired? Nobody cares, you have to do this. Nobody in this life, nobody is gonna ask you how you feel, everybody gonna watch how you feel.”

Makhachev is currently sitting at a massive 9-fight win streak and will be looking to pick up another win against Bobby Green. He was originally slated to face a top contender in Beneil Dariush, but sadly, he had to pull out because of an injury.
