Wahed Invest markets itself as an online Halal investing platform that aligns with Islamic Principles. However, the company was charged 300,000 USD by the U.S. SEC for misleading statements, breaching fiduciary duty, and some other violations. What came off sketchy was the company paying the fine without denying the SEC’s findings according to “IFG”.
