“The Eagle” of Dagestan recently took to X (Twitter) to promote an online investing platform on his social media accounts. On his X (Twitter) post, he wrote, “Wahed is now live in the UAE and we are offering a $20 bonus when you make a deposit so that you can begin building your wealth riba-free!”

Wahed Invest markets itself as an online Halal investing platform that aligns with Islamic Principles. However, the company was charged 300,000 USD by the U.S. SEC for misleading statements, breaching fiduciary duty, and some other violations. What came off sketchy was the company paying the fine without denying the SEC’s findings according to “IFG”.

Khabib Nurmagomedov promoting the investment didn’t sit too well with the MMA fans. Not just because of his contradicting what he says is his belief, but because of his controversial past of being accused of scamming his fans with his NFT collection. The post, as expected gained a lot of criticism.
