Back in 2018, a heated clash happened that changed the dynamics of the MMA realm forever. Khabib Nurmagomedov’s submission victory over the luminary Conor McGregor was such a highlighting event for the sport that even to this date, it feels fresh. It may have left good memories for the Dagestani, but the Irishman will have to live with the fact that he lost the battle after being part of one of the most heated rivalries. Well, the ghost of the past still haunts ‘Notorious’ to this date as the welterweight champion, Belal Muhammad, has reminded the already disturbed Conor McGregor about his loss.
‘Mystic Mac’ is going through a very rough phase in his career as the Nikita Hand civil case has completely devastated his reputation as a fighter as well as a businessman. After a tough month, ‘Notorious’ took time out of his hands to celebrate his victory over Jose Aldo that happened nine years ago back in 2015, “Conor McGregor Day! 12/12 #HUGESUCCESS #SUCCESSSTORY #ITSWAS12SECONDS.” The post was supposed to celebrate his victory over arguably the greatest featherweight of all time, but Belal Muhammad had some other plans.
The welterweight champion took to his X handle to add his comment on Conor McGregor’s post. Belal Muhammad uploaded a gif of Khabib Nurmagomedov choking out Conor McGregor and captioned it, “When’s tap day? #mctap #mccrackhead ” Belal Muhammad is turning into a master troll after clinching the 170 lbs gold from Leon Edwards. Despite not being a part of Team Khabib, ‘Remember The Name’ shares a very close relationship with Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team.

In one of his conversations, Muhammad emphasized that Khabib Nurmagomedov once filled his hotel room kitchen with groceries when he went to train with them in the Middle East, “So, I went down there, and Khabib got me my own hotel room and dropped me off. He was like, ‘Just wait here’, and they got the groceries. Umar and Abubakar filled the kitchen with groceries and stuff like that. I was like, ‘Guys, you don’t have to. I’m good.’ And they go, ‘No, brother, we are gonna make sure you are alright. Anything you need, we got you.'”
Well, the former UFC dual-weight champion will have to do a ton of work to win over his fans once again. So, what can he do to gain it back? Josh ‘The Punk’ Thomson and Big John McCarthy have the answers to Conor McGregor’s dilemma.

Conor McGregor offered a lifeline amidst the reputation-damaging crisis
After being made liable for the Nikita Hand civil case, Conor McGregor‘s reputation has taken a massive hit. The former dual weight champion has been stripped away from his business deals and in addition to that, many companies across the world are distancing themselves from the UFC star. Amidst the chaos, Josh ‘The Punk’ Thomson emphasized that the best way to win over his fans and overturn his character assassination is to get back to the winning column as soon as possible. ‘The Punk’, along with Big John McCarthy talked about McGregor’s situation on their ‘Weighing In’ podcast.
McCarthy believes that it’s better for McGregor to stay away from the spotlight for now, “This is the best way to get the spotlight off of that is to do what everyone loved you for, to begin with, and I know it’s not easy to do but I’m simply saying history is shown in the past with sports you get into mixups with ladies and or whatever anything else real problems criminal problems, the best thing to do is to win a championship.”

McCarthy further questioned that it would be nothing less than trouble to get back to training, as Conor McGregor already has way too many things going on in his mind, “Because you can’t put your attention on everything. You can’t put your attention to training for a fight, and put your attention towards saving a business. It doesn’t work.” Well, despite the cementing argument, Josh Thomson believes that the UFC star should get back into training and win over his opponents.
