Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov (29-0) is one of the greatest MMA fighters in history. Since his retirement from active competition, ‘The Eagle’ has kept himself busy. He purchased the Russian-based Gorilla Fighting Championship and renamed it Eagle FC.
Since the purchase, he has brought more attention to the promotion and has made some massive signings to the roster. Former UFC stars like Kevin Lee, Diego Sanchez, Renan Barao, and Rashad Evans have signed with Eagle FC.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently in the U.S. for the promotion’s first event in the country, Eagle FC 44. During his time there, he met with the hosts of FULL SEND PODCAST. In a conversation with them, ‘The Eagle’ made it clear that he would like to meet Michael Jordan. He even made a bizarre offer to persuade Bob Menery.
He said, “If you make me and Michael Jordan meet, I’m gonna give you three sheep. Maybe we gonna give him a free dog.”

The host of the FULL SEND PODCAST posted the video and wrote, “We made some weird deals on the @fullsendpodcast show today. I gotta now get to Michael Jordan. Who can assist? I want those sheep. @khabib_nurmagomedov I’m coming for your sheep.”
Khabib Nurmagomedov has sent a stern warning to MMA promotions ahead of Eagle FC 44
Eagle FC’s U.S. debut is just around the corner. Nurmagomedov was part of the pre-fight press conference and, during his appearance, left a message for other MMA promotions.
He said, “Big organizations like UFC, Bellator, they have to be careful with their fighters, you know. Because Eagle FC is here. And of course, we’re trying to sign good athletes, great athletes with good names, you know.”

“At the same time, we’re working with the young generation too, you know. We have two goals. I just want to say be careful, you know. If they don’t treat good fighters, Eagle FC is here,” he added.

Eagle FC 44 will see UFC Hall of Famer Rashad Evans, come out of retirement to take on Gabriel Checco. Tyrone Spong and Sergei Kharitonov will headline the event.
