Retired MMA fighter, and former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov visited his favorite football team, Manchester United. The Dagestani native shed light on his experience and what it was like to meet legendary athletes including, Usain Bolt, Patrice Evra, Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba, and many more.

Khabib Nurmagomedov finally met his childhood hero
The multiple-time UFC champion stated that he was quite happy to meet his childhood hero in Sir Alex Ferguson. He also added that he has been following the sport and the team since his adolescent age and it was quite amazing to meet him in person. Nurmagomedov also got the chance to interact with legendary Olympian Usain Bolt and top superstars of Manchester United.
” That time I met, Ferguson, Usain Bolt. Patrice Evra. It’s like amazing, amazing people you know like, small room, like it was sir Alex Ferguson family, their friends, myself, Evra, Usain Bolt, like so many energy inside the small room. You know, it was a good one, it was a very good one, like seeing sir Alex Ferguson, I was watching this guy like 25 years since 1995.”
“When I was 6-7 year’s old kid, okay now I talk with this guy. We talk about a lot, we talk about the team, we talk about energy, we talk about fighter’s mentality, fighters, and players.”

The mixed martial artist also clarified that he is fascinated by other athletes, and looks up to them greatly. He stated that their story and rise to superstardom also interests him greatly, as every other sport requires the same mental toughness as fighting. He often pitches questions to learn about their past, why they chose to follow a certain sport, and how everything came into being.

His meeting with Rio Ferdinand, Cristiano Ronaldo, lasted for well over an hour, as the trio spoke about a wide range of things. He reiterated that every other sport in the world requires a strong mental game, which is quite similar to fighting as well. Injuries are a part of any sport, and they can have an unimaginable impact on anyone’s career. Without a strong mental fortitude, it would be impossible to deal with such unprecedented moments.
