Few rivalries in MMA matched the intensity of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor’s bitter feud. The infamous post-fight brawl after ‘The Eagle’ dominated McGregor at UFC 229 cemented this rivalry as one for the ages. Yet, even outside the cage, their paths continue to collide.
While Nurmagomedov has stepped away from the sport, McGregor’s career has seen a turbulent run. Now, the Irishman is embroiled in legal troubles after a jury found him liable for assault in a 2018 Dublin hotel incident, leading to a wave of backlash. And Nurmagomedov, never one to mince words, has stepped into the fray, delivering a scathing verdict.

As news of Conor McGregor’s civil trial verdict sent shockwaves through the sports world, Khabib Nurmagomedov seized the moment. Sharing a post on X, the former lightweight champion endorsed a crypto initiative called ‘Convict McGregor’. The project claims it will help fund legal fees for McGregor’s alleged victims.
‘The Eagle’ stated, “Good job guys, you have my full support, this guy deserve punishment.” The initiative itself is as bold as the rivalry it stems from. Labeling itself as a tool for justice, the crypto coin aims to channel resources toward supporting victims in their legal battles. However, there are also criticisms being directed at the coin’s intentions.
Yet, Nurmagomedov’s support has added undeniable weight to it with his fiery calls for “punishment” for McGregor. Adding insult to injury, rivals like Jake Paul have also joined the chorus of criticism being directed towards the Irishman.
But there’s another member of ‘Team Khabib’ who put McGregor under fire on social media. In a post on X, Islam Makhachev fired off against ‘The Notorious’ by stating, “It was a matter of time till this filthy b—- be exposed.”

McGregor gets dropped by Proper No. 12 and IO Interactive
Conor McGregor, once the face of Proper No. Twelve Whiskey, has seen his public image crumble like a house of cards. According to a recent statement by Proximo Spirits, the company behind the whiskey, “Going forward, we do not plan to use Mr. McGregor’s name and likeness in the marketing of the brand.”
