Who is the greatest wrestler of all time? Which UFC fighter has the greatest ground game? Or is the greatest wrestler of all time someone who has never stepped into a UFC Octagon? Well, it seems one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time, Georges St-Pierre, has given his opinion on who he thinks is the best wrestler ever.

When it comes to naming UFC GOATs, the name GSP will usually be counted in the top 3. Undefeated UFC lightweight fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov said that he really respected GSP a lot and that he was also his father’s favorite UFC fighter. A fighter of that magnitude holds some sway, when it comes to picking the greatest wrestler of all time.

Although St-Pierre is friends with Nurmagomedov and has a lot of respect for him, the former UFC fighter shocked the world as he settled the wrestling GOAT debate with an Instagram story, which is actually a compilation of highlights for Russian wrestler Adam Saitiev. The original post came with a caption that read: “Adam Saitiev most technical wrestler #fyp #uww #wrestling #kushti #борьба #grappling #mma #sport“.

Although St-Pierre thinks that Adam Saitiev is the best wrestler (or maybe the most technical wrestler) of all time, Olympic-level wrestler Daniel Cormier picked Khabib Nurmagomedov as the most dominant wrestler he has ever faced. Coming from a highly accomplished wrestler (on a global level), it means that Khabib Nurmagomedov’s wrestling prowess is not to be taken lightly either.

The two have wrestled together and Nurmagomedov has finished off nearly all of his UFC fights by submission, which translated as a result of his dominant wrestling. But is he better than Adam Saitiev?

UFC commentator Joe Rogan recently declared that the best base to have for a successful run in MMA is wrestling. Taking that into consideration, one could say that if Adam Saitiev trained in other forms of combat as well, there is no saying how good he could be in UFC.
