The mere mention of Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s name is enough to make fight fans go wild, even if they’re missing his corner presence these days. Since retiring from fighting in 2020, fans became accustomed to seeing the Eagle as a cornerman and coach. However, Nurmagomedov took another step towards inactivity, when he announced that he was stepping away from coaching as well.
Moreover, fans did not even see the Russian at his protege Islam Makhachev’s biggest fight at UFC 284. This decision has left a noticeable void in the sport, especially for Nurmagomedov’s fans. However, fans were delighted to see Nurmagomedov back in his AKA gym.
