In a recent episode of the True Geordie podcast, Geordie asked Usman about his mindset when he gets clipped by his opponent. That is when he revealed the name of the UFC fighter who dropped him in a sparring session.
Usman said – “I have been dropped one time. One time in my career, practice, competition, I have been dropped one time. It was when one of my teammates, a fellow UFC Fighter, lightweight actually, Michael Johnson.
“As we were sparring, he was landing shots. He was kicking me in certain places, and I was feeling the pain… I kept trying to pull my head out and getaway, and he clipped me, he dropped me”.

Michael Johnson – The one who dropped Kamaru Usman
