Conor McGregor has unprecedented charisma and drawing power. Also, he has demolished opponents in three weight categories inside the octagon. Fighters frequently call out the Irish superstar, Kamaru Usman, the welterweight champion, had also called for a fight with him in 2020 after McGregor’s comeback win over Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone.

Speaking to Joe Rogan at the JRE podcast, the welterweight champion of the world offered his stance on a fight with McGregor.
He said, “Can you imagine me fighting Conor? Like, that wouldn’t even be fair. It would not be fair. Like, I give, everyone has a puncher chance. But it would not be fair. Like, you saw what Khabib did to him at 55 and I, imagine me doing that to him at 70.”
‘The Nigerian Nightmare‘ dismissed McGregor’s skill at 170 lbs and said he would not only fight him on the ground, but he would dominate him in the striking department as well.

Dana White had implied that Conor McGregor is too small for the welterweight
After Jorge Masvidal’s sudden rise in 2019, many hoped to see him vs the Irish superstar. However, the UFC president did not like the fight. According to Dana White, Masvidal is too big for McGregor at welterweight, and he can’t book him against Masvidal. However, the boss had different ideas after his impressive win over Cerrone at UFC 246.

A fight with Kamaru Usman is a tough ask. However, ‘The Notorious‘ has proved he can achieve anything he set his mind to. A win over the pound-for-pound number one fighter and earning a title in the third weight division would solidify him as the greatest fighter to have ever fought in the UFC.
