Finally, we have an official announcement for the year’s most anticipated fight. Kamaru Usman vs. Leon Edwards 3 is locked for March 18 at The O2 in London. And given that both the highly touted welterweight prospects have a win following their last two encounters, this trilogy bout will be the decisive bout to solidify the dominance of one of the two fighters. And it appears that ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ is already sharpening his skills before taking on the Englishman in London. However, Usman has recently had his right to hold a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu questioned. A post was shared on Reddit that shared a picture of the 35-year-old fighter along with his longtime coach, Jorge Santiago,and there was a doubt about whether Usman deserves this feat under his arsenal.

This unusual question prompted the UFC fans respond to it in various ways. Given that Kamaru Usman has the black belt, that makes it clear that he must’ve earned it. And interestingly Usman‘s arch rival Leon Edwards, too, earned his black belt in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu last year. Given that development, it is certain that we may see some of the BJJ being applied in their trilogy bout.
However, Kamaru Usman‘s worthiness to being a BJJ black belt has recently come under scrutiny. But the UFC fans have his back.

Having said that, all eyes are on the big trilogy bout between ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ and the ‘Rocky’. Despite the fact that the Kamaru Usman injury briefly threatened to derail this trilogy. And Jorge Masvidal was touted to be his replacement against Leon Edwards. But the trilogy seems to be destined to take place. And the world awaits for it now.
