A fighter with one of the greatest skill sets in the middleweight division, Vettori isn’t a top 5 fight to underestimate. Especially for ‘Bullet’ who has just recently entered the UFC Octagon. However, it may just be happening. Vettori has just answered Magomedov’s challenge with a striking reminder.

Of course, he’s calling him a “Pirate guy” because Magomedov happens to be partially blind in one eye. Can Magomedov take this fight and win it? His debut performance against Silva certainly made a mark in the UFC. However, it had many fans claiming that it was somewhat less impressive than expected of the Russian striker.

He struggled against Silva in the first round with blows going back and forth. His kicks were finding ground with his opponent but it didn’t feel nearly significant enough. In the second round however, ‘Sharabullet’ made his comeback with great strength.

The next two rounds were spent struggling on the mat for both the fighters. Magomedov would land strikes and kicks on Silva but there was nothing that could put either fighters in a submission or out cold. In the end, ‘Bullet’ had landed significantly more strikes than the Brazilian.

Fans weren’t pleased with the fight

Sharaputdin Magomedov won with a 30-27 scorecard from all the judges. And this did not sit well with some fans. The reason was simple. Both the fighters struggled quite a bit and there could have been no winner with such drastic advantage. However, the scorecards told a different story entirely.

“Shara won but that was 29-28 IMO not 30-27” tweeted one fan under the victory post of ‘Sharabullet’.  Clearly, the victory was certain but the results quite underwhelming.
