Charles Oliveira proved to the world that he deserves to be the lightweight champion after his spectacular victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 274. The Brazilian has overcome the biggest names in the division and has also made it look easy.
Fight fans believe that no fighter in the division can come close to beating Charles Oliveira, except for Islam Makhachev. UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov also backs his protégé. Khabib is confident that Makhachev has what it takes to end Oliveira’s extraordinary win streak.

In an Instagram story, Khabib Nurmagomedov backed up his protege and reposted this post from ESPN MMA. He wrote,” My prediction is a maximum 3 rounds. No matter how good he is Islam is better than him. Just remember these words.” Khabib’s teammate, Makhachev believes that the former champion is ducking him.
Islam Makhachev was set to face Beneil Dariush earlier this year, for the number one title contender spot. However, Dariush backed out of the fight and Islam got a win over Bobby Green. Ever since then, Makhachev has been trying to get himself booked for a title fight. However, the UFC is looking to re-book the number one contender bout between Dariush and Makhachev.
