Joe Rogan believes that stand-up comedians and other comic artists, in general, are having the toughest times of their lives.
The host of Spotify’s biggest podcast, Joe Rogan Experience, in a conversation with friend Ben Shapiro, talked about making jokes for a living and how it’s not the same anymore.

The conversation started with Shapiro asking, “You make a lot of jokes for a living. How are you gonna survive in this environment making jokes for a living?”
Rogan, in his own uncensored fashion, said, “Just p**s people off. I mean there’s… you’re going to have more people upset with you. And there’s more righteous indignation than I think I have ever seen in comedy. I’ve had more people furious at me for what are clearly jokes than ever at any other time in my career.”
The longtime UFC commentator has seen a lot of fame coming his way over the years. However, this year has been very rough for Rogan. Chiefly, the first quarter, where he faced a massive backlash from several big-name artists and people as well.
However, as far as Rogan’s comedy gig goes, the host of the ‘Joe Rogan: The Sacred Clown Tour’, spoke about comedians being under attack for jokes.
After Will Smith obnoxiously smacked Chris Rock at the Academy Awards, Rogan had shown concern that hitting comedians for making jokes would become a trend. Besides, there was another incident that happened with his friend, Dave Chappelle.
Joe Rogan talks about how he turned into a comedian
Rogan has tried his hands in many ventures and has been successful in most of them. Since comedy is very close to him, his followers always wonder why and how he got into comedy.
In a conversation with Shirley Manson, Rogan revealed how he got into comedy. Rogan said, “I don’t know, I got talked into doing it. I wasn’t really very funny… I got talked into doing stand-up by my friends from martial arts.”

The JRE host believes that since he was the one to break the nervous moments in sparring or while on a tour for fighting, his friends suggested he should try standup gigs.
Apparently, Rogan’s friends were a mensch, as his followers got a great stand-up comedian because of them.
