While everyone is throwing Dana White under the bus for putting out a bizarre sport in the name of Power Slap, the UFC’s poster boy Conor McGregor is loving it to the core. The Dubliner has been launching a trail of tweets recently in regard to the slap-driven competition and offered his insights on the contests, too. ‘The Notorious’ has formerly expressed his interest in participating in White‘s new venture, too. He called for a title shot against Nate Diaz in a slap fight. But now, with his newfound interest in the league, McGregor has different plans.
The Dubliner is now aiming for a certain position in the Power Slap League. To replicate what Joe Rogan does for the UFC. That’s correct. After putting out a series of tweets on the Power Slap, the 34-year-old believes he is well-deserving of a chair in the commentary panel of the Power Slap.
I could potentially be the Joe Rogan of Power Slap.

There is no one who could equal Joe Rogan‘s skills in the commentary department. He possesses the ideal combination of knowledge and with, blended with incredible interviewing skills. But on the other hand, Conor McGregor, coincidentally, checks all those boxes, too. He’s well-informed about combat sports, he’s funny, and trash-talking is his forte.
Hence, this could be something ‘The Notorious’ might just pull off really well. He also has a distinct advantage owing to his popularity and charisma. So, it fits the bill just perfectly. And this is something McGregor has made publicly known via his Twitter.
Conor McGregor is welcomed by the fans with his newfound ambition

This fan took a snarky jab at Conor McGregor upon telling him how he can become Joe Rogan, literally:
same height, slightly worse kicks, you already got the HGH going, just lose your hair and you are spot on match

However, the door to commentary for the Irishman is already holding no threat from Joe Rogan. Given that the UFC commentator would anyway not be part of Dana White‘s new venture. And his reasoning is fairly simple, too. Slap fighting is just not his ‘cup of tea’.

In his episode with Sean O’Malley, Joe Rogan said, “I love Dana. And I would be a hypocrite if I said I wouldn’t watch this because I will watch it. But this is not my cup of tea,” He further added, “What I like is problem-solving. I like puzzles, I like you (Sean O’Malley) and (Petr)Yan. I like this f*cking Russian assassin is storming the gates at you and you figure out a way to move around and kick his legs and jab at him. That’s what I like… I love technique.”
