‘Rowdy’ has previously featured in the seventh edition of the famous Hollywood franchise Fast And Furious in 2015 alongside Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, and other notable actors.
Similarly, ‘The Notorious’ was about to make his debut in Hollywood by starring in the action film XXX: The Return of Xander Cage alongside Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson. This movie was the third installment of Diesel’s famous XXX action franchise.
However, McGregor had to pull out of the project as he was preparing for one of the biggest fights in his career. According to the reports, the Irish star backed out because of his rematch with the Stockton slugger Nate Diaz at UFC 202.
Meanwhile, the now UFC commentator Michael Bisping replaced the Irishman in the movie. He was coming off a big win against MMA legend Anderson Silva during that time.
Nevertheless, McGregor’s decision to back out of the project and focus on his rematch turned out well for him. As the Irish star avenged his previous loss by defeating Diaz in the rematch in 2016.
Will the blockbuster trilogy between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz happen?
Diaz and McGregor have already crossed paths twice in their career (UFC 196 and 202) making the score 1-1. However, fans want to see the third installment of this fight. But will it happen?
McGregor vs Diaz: 3 undoubtedly is one of the biggest trilogies ever that will generate hefty pay-per-views for the UFC, given the fighters’ star status. Hence, it is a good option for the company.

Even UFC president Dana White is interested in making this fight. However, Diaz, with one fight remaining on his contract, is on the fence regarding the trilogy idea.
On the other hand, ‘The Notorious’ is recovering from an injury and has hinted at a comeback. But wants a title fight on his return. Hence, although there are a few possibilities of this trilogy happening, it is skeptical given Diaz’s scenario.
