Francis Ngannou abruptly left the UFC back in January, citing issues with their problematic contract. Despite being highly sought after by competitor promotions, the former UFC heavyweight champion has yet to find a new fighting spot that welcomes him with open arms. Even ONE Championship, which was keen on signing the ‘Predator’ for their promotion, has backed out of the race recently after he refused their mammoth deal worth $20 million.
In the midst of all this, Ngannou has seemingly irked his fans as well. The Cameroonian mixed martial artist has put out a rather sarcastic post flaunting his luxury lifestyle, despite the complications he’s faced in finding a new home after leaving the UFC. However, this move has faced severe backlash from fans who are not buying into it.

Francis Ngannou recently took to Twitter to share pictures of himself sitting on his Mercedes G Wagon, sporting a Rolex while wearing Gymshark gear. The former UFC champion put together the post, pairing it with a rather sarcastic caption.
Ngannou wrote, “Just out here fumbling the bag 💰.”
But the fight fans didn’t quite like the show of luxury. They rushed to the comment section to bash the former UFC champion for his tone-deaf behavior.
Some fans claimed the luxury of being leased:
I can lease the same truck for a few hundred a month. That's no flex lol.
You can rent them for a month— M.Y J (@oncechance81) May 10, 2023
Buddy has to get that rental returned before they charge him for an extra day 💀

While others credited the UFC for all that Ngannou has now:
Paid for that car with UFC money

Fumbling the legacy sadly. But money is your priority so you’re all good. Good luck in the PFLs 1 million dollar tournament.

Some fans responded with Dana White remarks:
The fact that @francis_ngannou is still able to live off his UFC money just goes to show You how well @danawhite is treating His fighters in the organisation and how well paid @francis_ngannou is…He owes The UFC much more than they owe Him

And there were some other fans who expressed their disappointment over this post as well:
we love you but a cell phone and a car isnt the kind of stuff you need to show off in this picture lol

An old body G Wagon and an old entry level rolex, bag really fumbled

However, in the midst of complications with getting signed by an MMA promotion, Ngannou has kept his options open and the Cameroonian fighter has set his sights on a hefty challenge.
Sights set on boxing the toughest puncher
Francis Ngannou has always expressed his interest in boxing, and it seems he has some interesting plans ahead of him in that regard. During an interview with TMZ, the 36-year-old MMA fighter reflected on the news of him getting into the boxing ring with the former WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder.

Speaking on the same, Ngannou said, “We are looking into it. Because he[Deontay Wilder] is available, he is ready to [do] that, he’s very excited about it. He wants it.” He further added, “So we are looking into that. That’s something I’m very excited about. We even discussed a potential one fight in Africa and one fight somewhere else.”
Ngannou further addressed the lack of experience he has in the boxing domain and acknowledged Wilder’s edge over him. This is one such deal that surely sounds interesting, and it’ll be exciting to see how it all unfolds.
