Khamzat Chimaev is frustrated by the fact that he cannot find any opponents to go off against next. In his latest vlog, the ‘Borz’ made a claim that he’s been offered 4 different opponents in 4 different countries, but none of them have accepted the bout against him. And Michael Bisping covered this in great detail in his most recent video.
Chimaev stands proud and tall with a 12-0-0 record with 6 straight wins in the UFC. Hence, he should most definitely be dreaded. But Bisping, on the other hand, has a list of opponents who should be pitted against the undefeated Chimaev and also teases that Jorge Masvidal, when he makes a comeback, would be a “good one” for him, too.

That is not the most obvious choice, but certainly an interesting one.
Chimaev vs. Masvidal rings the right bell for Michael Bisping
Reflecting upon the claims Khamzat Chimaev has made, Michael Bisping went on to discuss the potential opponents he could face. And upon doing so, he happened to come across the name Jorge Masvidal and felt that he might also make for a compelling foe for Chimaev.
Bisping stated, “Masvidal vs. Khamzat, that is a good one. Never thought that one until then. Maybe he turned him down. I don’t know if he did or didn’t. But, according to Khamzat Chimaev, people are turning him down.”
Khamzat Chimaev is itching to “smash” someone in the octagon and Jorge Masvidal has been away for a while now and is looking to make a grand comeback. The ‘Borz’ could indeed serve as an ideal comeback opponent for the ‘Gamebred’. It definitely sounds like an interesting fight that has the potential to create just the right amount of buzz. But the former UFC champion also has his own top 3 listing for Chimaev that does not include Masvidal.

Chimaev vs. Masvidal indeed sounds pretty good. But Bisping has some other UFC fighters who could be the ideal opponents to challenge the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev. And that excludes the “Gamebred”
Bisping stated, “I think after all those names I’ve been through there, I think at middleweight, Robert Whittaker would be incredible. My first pick would be Colby Covington at welterweight in March. That would be my pick. (My) number one pick… And after that, probably Belal Muhammad. Belal Muhammad would take that fight. Belal Muhammad wants that fight. Belal Muhammad needs that fight. Because that would be the biggest win and all of the sudden, he will be known to a much wider audience and potentially be rewarded with a title fight next.”

His emphasis on Belal Muhammad is definitely valid. Given that Chimaev is one of the best in the business today, this matchup could serve as one of those hyped bouts that could put him in the frontline among the masses.
