Despite being a fan-favorite, Rogan faced criticism for his comments. Meanwhile, Masvidal was thrilled with the high praise from Rogan. In a recent interview, ‘Gamebred’ expressed his gratitude for the recognition from someone like Joe Rogan.
Jorge Masvidal isn’t questioning Joe Rogan’s praise

During a dialogue with MMA Junkie, Jorge Masvidal spoke about a range of topics, including the high praise he received from Joe Rogan. The interviewer asked the 38-YO to reflect upon Rogan’s comment that viewed Masvidal as a better fighter than Georges St-Pierre. In response, the Miami-native said, “I think, you know, a lot- one, Joe’s been watching the sport freaking forever, man. And he truly is like an encyclopedia.”
Masvidal continued,“So for him to consider me one of the better fighters to have ever lived is a- F**k man, it’s a real life notch right there for me. Because that guy, you know, I consider him a f**king true connoisseur of this sport… I really enjoy his commentary as well. So, I feel like, man, that’s f**king awesome that he put me up there like that.”
With his return fight against Gilbert Burns on the horizon, this massive compliment is sure to serve as a boost for Masvidal. However, it’s not the highlight for him, as he’s more interested in what’s next to come after this fight.
Masvidal on Leon Edwards vs. Colby Covington

Dana White recently announced that Colby Covington will fight the reigning welterweight champion Leon Edwards next, and he is rather determined to make it happen. However, Masvidal doesn’t see it happening. During the same interview the BMF fame opened up about what’s next for him and whether he will take on the winner of Edwards vs. Covington. The Welterweight veteran rather confidently replied, “No no no no no no. I am fighting Gilbert[Burns], then I’m fighting Leon[Edwards].”
He further added, “And it’s just, I’m telling you, that that’s gonna play out… I just got some insider information.”

While it seems that his arch-nemesis Colby Covington will take on Leon Edwards next, as per Jorge Masvidal, it will eventually be him. It’ll be interesting to see how this thing plays out.
