UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal unloaded on Nate Diaz after the latter had some disparaging things to say about ‘Gamebred’. Diaz has been actively stoking the flames of several past rivalries by calling out his opposition on Twitter.
Diaz decided to go after Jorge Masvidal in a recent tweet and he implied that Masvidal was past the point of improving his skill set.

However, 305’s favorite son wasn’t going to take any insults from Diaz laying down and he made sure to hit out at his former opponent. He trolled Nate Diaz’s takedown defense and also talked about how Diaz couldn’t defend himself against kicks. This is especially hard-hitting considering that Nate Diaz was dropped by one of Masvidal’s kicks.
Just came across this and it’s so ironic that the individual who can’t block low kicks high kicks or mid kicks is talking shit about fighters getting better #canyouevenspelldoubleleg https://t.co/mehL5sJPwg

Can Jorge Masvidal become a title challenger again?
Masvidal had a rather disappointing year in 2021, especially after being nominated as the ‘Fighter of the Year’ in 2020. He was knocked out cold for the first time in his illustrious career by Kamaru Usman at UFC 261. Moreover, he also had to pull out of his UFC 269 bout against Leon Edwards with a few weeks remaining.
Masvidal has been in the fight game for as long as one can remember and has never shied away from a challenge. However, after losing two consecutive title shots, some fans believe his time in the spotlight is over. Not to mention, his opponents in Nate Diaz too seemed to share such a sentiment about Masvidal.
However, this isn’t the first time Jorge Masvidal has stumbled in his career. He will be confident in his ability to pull himself from the bootstraps and continue on with his quest for greatness. If he manages to dispatch another top contender like Leon Edwards, he will likely be back in the position he was in.

He also ventured into fight promotion with his own Gamebred FC and it’s possible he could be having a hard time multi-tasking his responsibilities. If he’s able to focus on his training along with his new stint as a promoter, there’s no stopping the Miami native.
