Jon Jones is doing all he can to prepare for his next fight. Considered one of the greatest heavyweights ever, ‘Bones’ is known to go no-holds-barred when he trains. This time, he finds his opponent in the tough man that is Stipe Miocic. The two-time former champion is going to be an interesting challenge for Jones and he has an interesting plan for him.

The fighter has been training with Gordon Ryan, one of the greatest contemporary BJJ martial artists. Ryan is an untamable submission expert and has all the techniques that could put the best to sleep. In a recent post, ‘King’ took to Instagram to talk about his time training with Jones. He also shared what seemed like an important confirmation for Jones’ future. Here’s the story.

Jones has been fighting for over a decade now. Over time, many have come to see him as a great heavyweight in the battle sports world. In spite of setbacks in his personal life, Jones has managed to conquer opponents inside the cage. He’s the current reigning heavyweight champion of the UFC and the fighter intends to keep it that way until it’s time to leave. Unfortunately, that might be soon, very soon!

Jones is currently set to fight at the Madison Square Garden in New York. The Miocic fight will go down on November 12 at UFC 295. Thousands of seats have been sold out to see the giants clash against one another. This could be a match of a lifetime for both the fighters but more importantly, it’s a match of a lifetime for fans because it may be Jones’ last. The fighter has previously expressed how he wants to leave the sport soon. In a recent post, Gordon Ryan may just have confirmed his retirement.

“Another few days of work with the man @jonnybones. I’m looking forward to watching him put on a show for the fans and getting ready to soon after leave the sport at the top, on his terms, and unbeaten. What an honor to be a part of this camp.” Wrote Ryan as the caption under his post.

Jones has been in the business for long and now, it seems like he’s done with things. Leaving on his own terms simply means winning his last match. However, it’s not going to be an easy one. Especially with the goal ‘Bones’ seems to have in his mind. He may have his winning move pre-decided or at least he knows how he wants to win. By submission! But Miocic is not about to make that easy.

Stipe Miocic has never been submitted in a career that also spans over a decade. It’s not easy to be one of the best heavyweights and never face the threat of submission. Jones’s training with a submission expert like Ryan shows that he has a great idea about his finishing move. He’s asked his fans to not count out a submission in a tweet earlier.

Even Miocic has a big challenge ahead of him but he wants the title back. Winning would make him a three-time heavyweight champion in the UFC, a title not held by many. Jones, on the other hand, has achieved more than enough for the time being it appears.
