Jon Jones has raised the excitement levels of the fighting world with a single announcement. Yes! He just confirmed that he will fight Stipe Miocic in November. The confirmation came right after Dana White announced the next heavyweight fight between Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes. Jones didn’t let this opportunity go to waste and responded to the internet trolls who have been calling him slow. But is it just an easter egg for who Jones will fight after Miocic? Nevertheless, he took the chance and confirmed the date for his next fight.
The drama began right after the events of UFC 300, when ‘Bones’ took to X and asked whether a fight against Aspinall would be better, or Alex Pereira. The fans responded that Jones should fight against the interim heavyweight champion, sidelining the ‘Poatan’. However, when Jones opined that he should focus only on Miocic till their fight is done, and averted his attention from Aspinall, the entire fighting community seemingly pounced on him. But let’s see what Jones had to say now that Aspinall’s next fight is confirmed.

After the drama revolving around ‘Honey Badger’, Jones was also targeted for his injury. The fighter tore his pectoral tendon prior to the fight with Miocic at UFC 295. Since then, Jones has been in the race for recovery. But the fans simply wanted some action. Disappointed with no action from Jones, they speculated that the fighter must have retired. But the UFC heavyweight champion recently took to X and confirmed the date for his next fight.
Jones tweeted, “I’m definitely not retired. Sitting on my porch sore all over enjoying some time in the Metaverse. November 9 can’t come soon enough. I’m earning it every day. Just like I always have.” However, the internet fandom was not easy to bypass. They claimed that Jones was slowing down the division.

Thereafter, ‘Bones’ came up with another reply, claiming that he was indeed on the right path if the next heavyweight fight wasn’t even a main event. He wrote, “Trolls telling me I’m slowing down the division by getting injured. Meanwhile, the next two heavyweights aren’t even a main event? interesting. I’m on the right path, I got until November to remind the world. Again.”

Jones seemed completely focused on ‘Stone Cold’. After all, he probably wishes to end his fighting career with great finesse. But would he retire or take up another fight on the fans’ request? That’s something that only time can tell.
Dana White announces next fight for Tom Aspinall
Recently, the UFC CEO announced two fights for UFC 304. One of them was the fight between Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad for the welterweight title. The other was the fight for Tom Aspinall. The heavyweight was pitted against Curtis Blaydes.

He responded with, “…but he (Jon Jones) knows he’s fighting Stipe.” Nevertheless, White confirmed that Jones will defend his title against Miocic at Madison Square Garden, in November.
