Previously, White had stated that Jones is the “greatest of all time” since he had never lost a fight.

With the recent post-fight conference going on after UFC 302, many new things are coming to light in the UFC world. Dana White answered questions about Jones and he said that as long as he is present, Islam Makhachev or anyone else cannot be the best pound-4-pound fighter. He even said Jones returned to become the number one guy in the heavyweight division, even with three years off from the Octagon. That is impressive! White said, “Jon Jones is the best!” Meanwhile, some social media users declared that Makhachev is the pound-4-pound best and Jones was a bit upset. He tweeted, “So let me get this straight, you go through an absolute dogfight and pull off a last-minute submission. And that’s what makes you the best? I guess getting injured means you suddenly lost all that skill? Just curious.”

However ‘Bones’ was overwhelmed with gratitude at what White said and tweeted, “ It felt awesome to get that level of recognition from the boss, the man that’s been here since UFC 1. I know the haters are not gonna like his comments but Dana’s a pretty hard person to argue with.  @danawhite  has had a front-row seat to my entire career, facts are facts.” This interaction might make fans believe that Jones will be fighting Stipe Miocic later this year because when White was asked this, he said, “I’m in!”

Meanwhile Jones commented on the recent video that  Stipe Miocic uploaded.

Jon Jones thinks Miocic is pretending to be weak

The duo was set to fight on UFC 295 but that did not come to fruition because Jones had a shoulder injury. However, they might be fighting in 2024 now and Jones already has a verdict for his supposed opponent.

Jones declared that his opponent was pretending to be weak in a previous training video that he uploaded. This is because he was trying to play mind games against ‘Bones’. The video depicted how Miocic was having a hard time  throwing perfect jabs at the training pads. His movements also seemed slower. Jones commented, He wrote, “I’m not a historian of war or anything, but I have learned a thing or two in my day. A big part of combat strategy is timing, and deception. To make a long story short, if your opponent appears weak, prepare even harder. Complacency is the greatest enemy to a fighter like myself.”

‘Bones’ being cautious should not come as a surprise since Miocic is one of the best fighters with a stellar record in heavyweight category. Now only time will prove of Dana White’s faith in Jones will be maintained by the fighter or not!
