Does Conor McGregor ever stay away from the limelight? As always, McGregor is back in the headlines! This time, with a friendly taunt from the heavyweight champion, Jon Jones. ‘Bones’ recently reacted to an old video that has resurfaced, wherein McGregor and Jones were seen flexing their Rolex watches.

Recently, Jones shared a post on X saying that no one was able to play the “talking game” with him as he always had a comeback for everyone. He further asked fans to name any press conference or interview. Responding to Jones, Brian Najarro, a music producer who goes by the name ‘Bufo On The Beat’ on social media, replied with the video of the fighters showing off their Rolex watches. The music producer tagged the duo in the caption and wrote, “@TheNotoriousMMA had your number @JonnyBones.” But Jones did have a comeback ready.

In the video that Najarro shared, Jones and McGregor were seen outside an event. The mixed martial artists showed off their Rolex wristwatches, which looked similar. Without a doubt, ‘The Notorious’ made a comment on his own watch being superior than that of Jones’. “The number two Rolly around,” said the ‘Mystic Mac’.

After showing his own Rolex to the camera, Jones asked, “What do you mean number two?” This extracted nothing but laughter from the Irish fighter. Jones, however, had a slick remark to make. “Lol he’s a witty little sh**, that’s the homie though,” the former light heavyweight champ responded.

In case you are wondering about the watch, it was indeed the Rolex 88 that Jones purchased last year. A 40 mm watch with a white dial and gold works, it was nothing short of impressive. But when Jones revealed his watch on Instagram, back in 2023, he was tackled by McGregor’s fans, who called his new Rolex 88 a number two. Undeniably, the fighter took it lightly and pointed out that he was being compared to Conor McGregor. But did you know that McGregor once flared out a super expensive and rare Rolex, with the price tag exceeding $100,000? Let’s take a look at McGregor’s timepieces.

The Irishman’s Notorious watch collection

McGregor once said, “I have an unhealthy obsession with spending money. But I have a healthy obsession with making it. So, it’s all good.” The fighter’s glamorous watches are proof of the said ‘unhealthy obsession’. He once showed off his Rolex Day-Date 228396TBR. Laden with 40 baguette-cut diamonds on the bezel, the platinum set is one of the rarest Rolex watches.

Other than that, the former UFC double champion also owns a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona, a couple of Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40s, a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II, and many more. Needless to say, Jones’ watch only came in second to McGregor’s comparison.
