The UFC interim heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall has been very persistent with his callouts for a fight against Jon Jones and Stipe Miočić. This led the UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones to go on a rant on Twitter. The Englishman had a very witty response to Jones’ rant.

Tom Aspinall recently took to Twitter to respond to the heavyweight champ’s remarks in a series about him. Here is a brief about the back-and-forth between the UFC heavyweight and interim heavyweight champions.

Just recently on Twitter, Jon Jones slammed Aspinall for his constant callouts on Twitter, writing, “Only four recognizable opponents, and already the king of England, must be nice. There will be legendary tales told about you and your infamous call outs.”

However, that wasn’t the end of the American’s rant as he went on to post another tweet which wrote, “It’s a wild world we live in! People can be so quick to try to replace you, throw you away, discredit your work.…” implying that people have forgotten what he has accomplished in his career and how the interim champion had nowhere near the resume he had.

Tom Aspinall didn’t take too lightly to the comments as he was quick to respond, tweeting,
“Jon Jones: “you need to fight people who build your legacy”
Me: “great idea. Absolutely”
UFC: “do you wanna fight Tom?”
Stipe: “no”
Jon: “no”
Me: (thinking emoji).” Putting a clever take on the situation he’s currently in right now.

Given how much the two are going at each other, this makes us wonder what Tom Aspinall said to get inside the head of Jon Jones. The Englishman vented out his frustration in one appearance with True Geordie.

Tom Aspinall, in a podcast appearance with True Geordie, revealed his frustration with the UFC. The main rationale was the UFC sidelining Aspinall, despite winning the interim champ.

He stated, “I’m in a bit of a sticky situation now with the politics of the UFC kind of thing. Whom I am gonna fight next and should I defend an Interim, should I fight Stipe, should I fight Jon Jones? What should I wait it out? Man doesn’t matter what you say, people are always going to f….ing jump on you.”
