Jon Jones will be making his much-awaited comeback at UFC 285. He will battle it out with Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight championship on March 4, 2023, at the T-Mobile Arena in London. Moreover, Jon Jones has already revealed whom he wants to challenge after his fight against ‘Bon Gamin’ next month.
Francis Ngannou’s exit from UFC resulted in him being stripped of the heavyweight title. This prompted president Dana White to put the title up for grabs at the upcoming UFC international pay-per-view. This will be Jon Jones’ first fight in three years and he has already found himself in title contention.

However, ‘Bones’ is not only looking to win his UFC 285 fight but also to prove to the world that he is the greatest heavyweight fighter of all time. His eyes are set on the biggest heavyweight stars on the roster. As such, Jones recently appeared in an interview with ‘TMZ Sports’ where he talked about fighting Stipe Miocic.
Jon Jones wants Stipe Miocic after Ciryl Gane fight
‘Bones’ claims that he wants to fight Stipe Miocic next. Jon Jones and the former two-time heavyweight champion were linked for a potential fight for several years. However, it hasn’t come to fruition yet. “Stipe Miocic would be a great challenge,” said Jones. he added, “Stipe Miocic is who I have got my eyes on. People consider him the greatest heavyweight of all time. The opportunity to compete against such a man, I’d be honored.”
He also added that it would be a monumental achievement to beat a fighter of Micic’s caliber. Jones said, “The opportunity to beat such a guy would be truly something special.” However, he has not downplayed the challenge of Ciryl Gane. Jon Jones claims that the Frech fighter is one of the best fighters in UFC’s history. “I got a huge, huge order ahead of me,” said ‘Bones’.

Jon Jones also mentions that beating Miocic could help cement his status as an all-time MMA and UFC great. “I wanna solidify my legacy, and I know you got to fight the best guys out there,” said Jones. He added, “As long as Stipe is still in the game, that would be my next target.”
Miocic hasn’t had a fight since losing the heavyweight title in 2021 to ex-UFC fighter Francis Ngannou. ‘The Silencer’ is already in his 40s and is entering the twilight years of his MMA career. We will have to see whether or not Dana White decides to book Miocic vs Jones in the future.
