On January 18, 2020, Conor McGregor was returning to action for the first time since his loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov. ‘Notorious’ had faced Nurmagomedov at the UFC 229 event and lost via a 4th round submission. Therefore, his UFC 246 return against Donald Cerrone was being seen as the last opportunity for McGregor to prove he is still amongst the best in UFC.
However, what McGregor did in that fight showed the world just how dangerous ‘Notorious’ is. Everyone present at the T-Mobile Arena that night was shocked to see the aggressiveness ‘Notorious’ showed in the fight. As soon as the fight started, ‘Notorious’ went at Cerrone with a big left, which ‘Cowboy’ dodged.
However, that is when McGregor hit Cerrone, with some devastating shoulder strikes that left him bloodied. People watching the fight could not believe what had happened and UFC commentator Jon Anik was one such person. When Rogan announced that ‘Donald’s nose is already bleeding‘, Anik asked ‘Is that from his shoulder‘.

With this victory, McGregor proved to everyone that he still was amongst the best UFC fighters out there.
