Ilia Topuria knows how to make waves. The #1 ranked featherweight is one of the hottest prospects in the promotion owing to his power, speed, and flamboyant personality. ‘El Matador’ has been active on social media recently, calling out the biggest name in the sport: Conor McGregor.

The Georgia native is scheduled to face Alexander Volkanovski, who has never been defeated at featherweight in the promotion so far and is considered the greatest to ever do it at 145 pounds. But, Topuria is seemingly already looking forward to his next moves by trying to feud with UFC stars.

A few days ago, Ilia Topuria got in a back-and-forth with bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley on Twitter, calling him out for being popular among only teens. ‘El Matador’ suggested that he would face Conor McGregor after his UFC 298

“I offered to fight you but the UFC told me that you are only good for fighting in teenagers’ places, because that’s your only fan base. Our fight will never happen. After fighting Volk I will fight Conor and you will come as a fan boy. After seeing your PPV numbers the only thing I can offer you is that you fight in the preliminaries of my card,” he said.

And it seems the Spaniard is still upset at ‘Suga’. The 26-year-old wrote a bizarre tweet from his official account, taking a shot at both O’Malley and McGregor, saying he had a dream where O’Malley and McGregor were having a baby and asked fans to guess who the mom was.

“I just had a dream…Conor and Omaly [sic] were having a baby! Who do you think was the mom?” he tweeted. One reason for Topuria to be talking about his next fights may be the confidence he has that he would beat ‘Volk’ in their upcoming fight.

‘El Matador’ warns Alexander Volkanovski of first-round KO

Alexander Volkanovski, on his Youtube account, called his upcoming opponent Ilia Topuria a “kid” and promised that he would put a loss on ‘El Matador’s undefeated record. Topuria had a strong response to this and vowed to knock him out in the first round, suggesting the Australian retire as he was old.

“If you think someone can imitate me, that means that your last fight has left you with lasting effects! I will knock you out in the first round. You’re old, it’s time to retire. It is time to move on and make way for the new era of Topuria.” he tweeted.
