However, ‘The Notorious’ has not entered the octagon since July 2021 after suffering a gruesome leg injury in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier. Since then, he has been on the sidelines, but he is very close to returning. People are already speculating, who he will face on his return.
His coach, John Kavanagh, has revealed what he thinks will be a great fight. In an interview, he said, “I’m just excited to see him back in there. It’s always a big occasion. There’s not much like a McGregor fight week and a McGregor fight night. It doesn’t really matter.”
“You say any name and it’s exciting. Probably the Diaz trilogy would be a fan favorite. But yeah, let’s just get him back healthy, back ready, and back competing,” he added.

According to Kavanagh, McGregor’s physical stage of recovery is complete. Hence, they’ll soon start training mixed martial arts again. The former two-division champion keeps posting videos of his workouts and training and he looks in great shape.
Besides training videos, he posts updates about his life where fans get to see some of the things he has achieved.

Conor McGregor has achieved a lot of things in his career. He is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world and even has multiple successful business ventures. However, there is one thing that he got that no one saw coming.
In 2021, Conor McGregor was handed a key to Miami. The Mayor of the city, Francis Suarez, presented him with the honor.
The Irishman, in a recent Instagram post, was seen displaying the key. In the caption, he wrote, “The key to the city of Miami at @theblackforgeinn Dublin, twelve, and still. Top man, Mayor @francissuarez thanks for the buzz, this 50k cash from “gargle entertainment” is to me. Hard work pays.”

McGregor, during his time on the sidelines, has been regularly spotted at his pub, The Black Forge Inn. However, there are expectations that he’ll be back in action during the summer.
