Joe Rogan and Conor McGregor have delivered some memorable octagon interviews in the past. Rogan was on cage-side commentary for many of McGregor’s key bouts as well. While many were calling for McGregor to make an appearance on JRE, this new spat might make it all the more improbable.

Conor McGregor goes after Joe Rogan

In one of his recent voice tweets, Conor McGregor went after Joe Rogan. The reason for his ire seemed to be something Rogan said during McGregor’s grudge match against his rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov. McGregor also posted a clip with the disputed comment on his Twitter.

In the second round of the fight, McGregor kneed Nurmagomedov from a grounded position. Rogan called it “an illegal knee” “to the head of a downed opponent.” McGregor took offense at this observation and went after the 55-year-old.

“@joerogan proper Twelve blow the jaw off you stick to that other gick boondock head,” the former double champ wrote in the caption.

“That was an illegal knee on the head of a grounded opponent… Joe, you little fool. What are you talking about ‘smash this and smash that’? What was smashed? My knee into his f***ing eye socket yeah?… ‘That’s a knee to a grounded opponent!’ Call the cops. F***ing tick ye,” said ‘Mystic Mac.’

McGregor and Nurmagomedov recently traded shots after the latter took jabs at the Irishman during a public appearance in Canada. Their bitter rivalry shows no signs of hope for a resolution.

McGregor gives an update on his return

Conor McGregor has been on the sidelines since his unfortunate leg break at UFC 264. The 34-year-old now looks fully healed and has been talking about his return. However, McGregor was not tested by the USADA while in recovery. UFC president, Dana White confirmed the same after UFC 280.

This meant that ‘champ champ’ would have to undergo six months of testing. This, in turn, would delay his return to the octagon. Recently, McGregor shed some light on the USADA side of things.

According to McGregor, he will be cleared for testing in February 2023. Once he can give two clean tests, he will be eligible to compete.

McGregor revealed earlier this year that he will be returning at welterweight. The Irishman looked absolutely shredded in his recent social media posts. A weight cut for the 155 lbs division won’t be an easy task considering his current size.
