As we head into the 2024 presidential elections, Donald Trump has been popping up on some of the biggest podcasts out there. He’s already been on Logan Paul’s ‘Impaulsive,’ Theo Von’s ‘This Past Weekend,’ and now, he’s making waves on the Lex Fridman podcast. But there’s one huge name missing from that list: Joe Rogan.
So why hasn’t the former president made a stop at one of the most popular podcasts in the world? During his conversation with Lex Fridman, Trump stated that he had never been asked to appear on the show. The comment has raised a lot of eyebrows as Rogan himself has given a different reason as to why the former president has yet to make an appearance in the JRE studio!

Lex Fridman, the host of the podcast, kicked off the discussion when he mentioned Donald Trump’s scathing remarks towards Joe Rogan. The reason? A perceived issue with the host of the JRE seemingly endorsing Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s presidential candidacy. An incensed Trump had then shared on the ‘Truth Social’ platform, “I wonder how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC ring???”
Bringing up the interaction, Fridman inquired what the story behind the tension is and that he’d like to see the former president have a chat with Rogan on his show. Trump responded by stating, “I don’t think there was any tension and I’ve always liked him. But I don’t know him. I think he’s good at what he does but I don’t know about doing his podcast. I mean, I guess I’d do it but I haven’t been asked and I’m not asking him. I’m not asking anybody.”
Now, here’s where things take a surprising turn! Joe Rogan has a completely different view on the situation. When he appeared on Lex Fridman’s podcast back in 2022, the UFC commentator revealed a rather unexpected reason why Donald Trump hasn’t yet made an appearance on the JRE.
Rogan had stated, “I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”

Have an interesting take?
On one side, Trump claims he’s never been asked to join the JRE, while Rogan insists he’s had the chance but isn’t interested. This clash of statements has everyone buzzing. Will Rogan change his mind about having Trump on the podcast? Only time will tell, but Rogan’s already been clear about where he stands on RFK Jr and Trump.
Rogan dubs Trump’s response to the failed assassination attempt as “most American f**king things of all time”
During episode no. 2185 of the JRE, Joe Rogan had claimed that Robert F. Kennedy Jr was the only candidate in the presidential race that, “…makes sense to me.” Why? Rogan explained that other politicians manipulate and push narratives, but RFK Jr. doesn’t. That statement earned Rogan praise, but also stirred up some criticism from Donald Trump supporters.

But later, in a post made on X, Rogan clarified that, “For the record, this isn’t an endorsement. This is me saying that I like RFKjr as a person, and I really appreciate the way he discusses things with civility and intelligence. ”
The host of the JRE also went on to state, “I also think Trump raising his fist and saying “fight!” after getting shot is one of the most American f**king things of all time” but added he’s not the guy to go to for political advice. For now, as the presidential race continues to heat up, it remains to be seen if Donald Trump and Joe Rogan will ever bridge this podcast divide and sit down across from one another to have a discussion that the JRE is renowned for!
