Remember when we were promised birthdays amidst the chaos of COVID? “When we win, it’s everybody’s birthday.” That was Kanye West’s big pitch when he ran for president back in 2020. And guess who entertained the idea long after it had fizzled out with his usual open minded curiosity? Joe Rogan, of course. Back in episode #1554 of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan gave Kanye a platform to discuss his usual rollercoaster of ideas. “If Trump could win, Oprah could win,” Rogan once mused. And by that logic, so could Kanye? But fast-forward a few years, and Rogan now has some very different takeaways about Ye.

“Well, you know what I think? I think Kanye feels attacked, and when he feels attacked, he fires back,” Rogan said in episode #2286. “And then you develop this antagonistic relationship with the media, with some of your fans, with all the people that are upset at you. You know, he feels like he’s cornered and attacked. And not appreciated. And then he fires at people and starts saying wild sh-t and then puts the masks on, but he’s a brilliant f–ing guy.

Rogan’s take isn’t exactly shocking. The rapper turned-fashion mogul- turned -presidential- candidate- turned- controversy- magnet, has media battles as infamous as his music hits. The rapper has history of outbursts. May it be award show interruptions or rallies spilling family secrets. And let’s not forget his latest headline-grabbing antics.

The controversial tweets, Nazi rhetoric, and swastika-infused merchandise. If there’s one thing Kanye doesn’t do, it’s subtlety. Rogan, though, seems to believe that behind all the chaos is a man who simply feels unappreciated and lashes out in response.

For someone who’s never stepped inside the cage, Kanye West’s presence in the UFC world is oddly persistent. His music has fueled walkouts for some of the sport’s biggest names. Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir made his entrance to ‘Amazing’, a song that echoed his own quiet confidence. Shayilan Nuerdanbieke stormed into UFC 287 with the raw energy of ‘Black Skinhead’, though he got KO’d by Steve Garcia.

At UFC Fight Night 240, Alexander Hernandez opted for ‘I Wonder’, while Chepe Mariscal walked to ‘Jesus Walks’. So, Kanye has had an undeniable influence on the sport, even if it’s through his music rather than actual octagon antics. But the real question is, Will he make another appearance on JRE?

Did Joe Rogan really invite Kanye again?

In the latest chapter of Kanye’s saga, he found himself at the center of an awkward moment after sharing what he claimed were direct messages from Joe Rogan, inviting him back to the podcast. West posted screenshots of a supposed conversation where ‘Rogan’ expressed concerns about Kanye’s recent controversies but was open to a sit-down. One problem, it wasn’t Joe Rogan.

Is Kanye West a misunderstood genius or just a master of media manipulation?

Have an interesting take?

Rogan quickly shut down the claims on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Hey, @kanyewest, I don’t know who you’re talking to, but that’s not me.”  Kanye had apparently been duped, sharing fake messages in an attempt to drum up interest in an interview that wasn’t even in the works. This latest mishap is just one more addition to Kanye’s never-ending list of headline-grabbing antics.

So, after all this, is there any chance we’ll see Kanye on Joe’s podcast? Given Rogan’s no-nonsense approach and Kanye’s habit of going off the rails, it’s hard to say. And with Kanye’s personal life is in just as much turmoil, it’s almost impossible to keep up with the whirlwind that is Kanye West. So, what do you think? Should Joe sit down with Kanye again? Given Rogan’s latest take, it seems like he’s more inclined to discuss Kanye than to actually have him on the show. But knowing Kanye, he’ll find a way to stay in the headlines, podcast invite or not. Right? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
