While Joe Rogan provides entertainment on many levels to his viewers, he is also an avid consumer of entertainment. The former Fear Factor host has discussed many famous TV shows that he’s enjoyed, such as geeking out with actor Josh Brolin and the movie No Country for Old Men, or his stance on dragons having existed at some point—clearly inspired by Game of Thrones. Or even him geeking out with Tony Hinchcliff about their shared love for The Sopranos—considered one of the greatest shows in history. Recently, Rogan had high praise for a series exclusively being streamed on Apple TV.
An enthusiastic Joe Rogan recently shared his take on the show Severance after completing the first season. Now for the unversed, this is an American science fiction psychological thriller series created by Dan Erickson, with Ben Stiller acting as the executive producer and primary director. It is about people who undergo a medical procedure to separate their consciousness into two halves—one for work and one for personal memories.
Nevertheless, Rogan posted a picture of the series and wrote his take on the show. The cinephile who hosts renowned filmmakers and actors on The Joe Rogan Experience wrote, “Severance is a fantastic show. Completely original and unpredictable. Amazing writing, directing, and acting. Just a unique show. I just finished season one and am on to season two on @AppleTV.”

Whether he admits it or not, the premise of Severance sounds an awful lot like what Elon Musk’s Neuralink might be able to do. Of course, we’re not suggesting that Musk might actually use Neuralink to get his employees to show up to work, but for some, the thought of implanting a chip in your brain is absolutely terrifying. And we’re all aware of Rogan’s paranoia about government control. So how did he react to Elon Musk’s Neuralink, when the technology was a talking point back in 2022?

Joe Rogan is pretty concerned about Neuralink
Joe Rogan was once asked by Derek from More Plates More Dates in 2022 about Neuralink. He asked, “What do you think about the neural link thing coming out soon? Elon’s gonna chip himself or something?” Rogan replied by saying, “He’s gonna turn into God. That’s gonna be a problem.” The UFC color commentator seemed pretty concerned about the purpose of the device.
He further added, “Yeah, I worry a lot. I think it’s inevitable though… that’s just gonna keep going… to a point where people won’t even breed anymore.” The government had not interfered until the news came out that Musk had been using animals for his prototype. Considering the increasing awareness of animal rights in these times, the government is not taking a step back from the federal probe.

And that was before Elon Musk conveniently positioned himself in the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump’s cabinet. What would Rogan think about the magnitude or influence Musk would have, especially since this technology has the potential to revolutionize human cognition? Will he still be comfortable cozying up to the tech mogul?
