UFC 313 surely delivered thrilling action inside the Octagon, but it also provided plenty of unexpected entertainment outside of it. But what moments are we talking about? Well, during the much-anticipated fight between Amanda Lemos and Iasmin Lucindo, fan-favorite commentator Joe Rogan made an awkward error on live television. While admiring Lemos’s abilities during Lucindo’s walk-in, he accidentally referred to Lucindo as a “young man.”
The little accident went unnoticed during the broadcast but definitely piqued Israel Adesanya‘s attention as he watched the event with friends. So, what was his reaction?
To sum it up, it was absolutely hilarious. As Lucindo walked to the Octagon, everyone caught the UFC commentator saying, “Amanda Lemos is very dangerous. Very dangerous. But this young man has tremendous potential.” Israel Adesanya’s friend noticed the gaffe and said, “Did he say this ‘young man’ has tremendous potential?”

Initially skeptical, ‘The Last Stylebender’ chose to rewind the video. When he heard Rogan’s words again, he and his pals burst out laughing.
While still chuckling, Israel Adesanya congratulated his friend for capturing the moment, saying, “Good job! Good job!” he exclaimed before jokingly adding, “Hang on! Did he just expose her? Nah, jokes.” The slip-up, while unintentional, truly became one of the more talked-about moments of the night for Izzy and his group. Despite the commentary blunder, the fight displayed an intense level of skill. Amanda Lemos dominated much of the bout, relying on her experience and clever striking to clinch a clear win. But Joe Rogan’s mix-up remains the night’s unexpected high point.

Whether deliberate or not, the incident undoubtedly proved why Joe Rogan‘s presence in the UFC booth always adds another layer of entertainment both inside and beyond the cage. However, this wasn’t the only fight that caught the attention of ‘The Last Stylebender.’
The night’s main event delivered one of the biggest upsets in UFC history, as Alex Pereira was finally dethroned from his light heavyweight throne. So, what was Israel Adesanya’s reaction to it?

Israel Adesanya shares his own UFC 313 scorecard after the judges’ decision
Notably, Israel Adesanya disagreed with the judges’ judgment in Alex Pereira’s UFC 313 title fight against Magomed Ankalaev. The former middleweight champion, who has a long rivalry turned friendship with ‘Poatan,’ was one of his biggest supporters. As the last bell sounded and the scores were read, ‘Izzy’ couldn’t believe what he heard.
The unanimous judgment favored Ankalaev, which included a 49-46 score, leaving ‘The Last Stylebender’ extremely upset. So much so that Adesanya took to his YouTube channel to analyze the fight and provide his own assessment.

In a 12-minute video uploaded to ‘Freestylebender,’ Israel Adesanya live-reacted to the contest while keeping his scorecard. Like many, he, too, favored Pereira, emphasizing his ability to stop Ankalaev’s takedowns and score heavy strikes. According to ‘Izzy,’ the Brazilian led after the third and fifth rounds; therefore, the final score knocked him out.
“I had Alex winning, but I’m not sure,” Adesanya said. “I’d have to watch it again and score the fight properly. The second round might have played a factor since he dropped him, but then holding against the fence—I don’t really remember Ankalaev getting any takedowns.”
His initial displeasure shifted to disbelief as he dubbed the fight game “stupid” before adding that he still “f—— loves it, eh.” Despite the loss, Adesanya believes ‘Poatan’ will face Ankalaev again shortly in a much-anticipated rematch. The Brazilian has been a dominant force in the division, eliminating several top contenders over the last year. With no clear next challenger and Alex Pereira having stepped up for the UFC several times, an instant rematch seemed possible.

“It was a competitive back-and-forth fight,” Adesanya said. “They’re both going to level up, and I’m sure he’s going to get a rematch. Spin the block.” So, what do you think? Will Dana White book another showdown between the two titans anytime soon? Let us know in the comments.
