UFC300 just wrapped up with a bang and now the fifth UFC event of 2024 is swiftly approaching. UFC 301 is going to take place on Saturday at Rio Arena in Rio de Janeiro and people are already gearing up for the pay-per-view event. As usual, the famous commentators of UFC will be there to help the viewers get the finest experience of the bout. However, there is one important name missing, Joe Rogan.
Jon Anik is going to host the official UFC 301 weigh-in show and he is going to be joined by Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier, former fighter and coach Din Thomas, and former lightweight champion Paul Felder. However, the question remains why Rogan will be absent from the event as he had a gala time hosting UFC 300.

According to MMA Junkie, the legendary commentator in UFC history, Bruce Buffer is once again going to be present at UFC 301 and will introduce the fighters before their battle. Along with that John Anik is going to serve as the leading commentator from the octagon side. He is going to be accompanied by color commentators Daniel Cormier and Felder. Joe Rogan, on the other hand, will not be seen by the fans in UFC 301 because he is not going to travel to Rio de Janeiro and cover the event. Rogan has frequently skipped events that are held outside of North America but the exact reasons for his decision to stay put are more than one.
The 56-year-old not only is the star commentator of UFC but he has built his career from the ground up and has dabbled into multiple industries. Apart from the commentary gig, he is also the host of the million-dollar podcast the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ and he is also a standup comedian. Balancing different careers with spending time with his family might have made him take an important decision. Let’s see the supposed reasons for his skipping UFC outside North America.

Joe Rogan does not travel internationally for UFC events, but why?
The multi-talented commentator already makes millions from his UFC gig and his podcast. He has a stand, and say in the industries that he works in and can afford to call the shots when it comes to his personal decisions. This is why he refused to travel internationally and cover UFC events. Since he does not keep his eggs in one basket and has to juggle many careers travelling internationally can make him miss out on important gigs from other industries that he is involved in.

Rogan once revealed that he stopped commentating on UFC fight nights because there was too much traveling, too much work, and the pay was also less than his other gigs. Another reason why he stopped was because of the unpleasant experience at the first Fox card. He was told by the production team to change his style of commentary which did not sit right with the famous personality.
The UFC fans are going to miss Rogan in the commentary booth at UFC 301. However, the other star commentators are going to make the experience interesting for the fans and hopefully make up for the missing star.
