Joe Rogan is a popular name in the podcasting space and hosts ‘The Joe Rogan Experience.’ He is an influential figure and is friends with billionaires like Elon Musk. Recently, Rogan talked about the hold-up amidst the Twitter buyout and why people are reluctant toward Musk’s stance.

JRE #1830 featured Rogan alongside free-lance writer, Meghan Murphy. In one segment, Rogan talked about the problem that caused the Twitter acquisition by Musk to be on hold. Rogan said, “He said unless they give him access to data so he can find out how many of these accounts are fake.”

 

Rogan then read out an article posted on Yahoo Finance titled: ‘Twitter set to turn bot data over to Musk.’ The article mentions how Twitter is turning over its data to Elon Musk, including information on the user and the device used to tweet from. The article also mentioned that Musk has “challenged” Twitter’s claims that only 5% of its total accounts are bots.

After reading the article, Rogan said, “I’m really interested to see how this plays out because he is what he would describe as a free speech absolutist. And I think that is something that people are reluctant to agree is a good thing because they’re worried about the negative aspects of free speech. You know they’re worried about a**holes, and you know, and trolls.”

Joe Rogan Reacts to the Twitter Deal Being Finalized

It is not hidden that Joe Rogan is a big fan of the South African billionaire. The two have grown closer throughout the years, with Musk even who appeared on Rogan’s podcast multiple times.

Fortunately for us, we even have a clip of when Rogan discovered that the Elon Musk-Twitter deal was finalized. Rogan couldn’t control his emotions as he screamed with excitement.

Rogan even called Musk a “movie star type cut superhero.” The JRE host was beyond thrilled and didn’t mind being excited, even with a guest present. He also explained how he agreed with Musk’s views on free speech and how it would help a democracy.
