Francis Ngannou and the UFC have been going back and forth with the former’s contract issues. The Cameroonian champion has fought his way out of his contract after his bout at UFC 270. Among all this ambiguity, Joe Rogan had a fair bit to say about the champ and the promotion moving forward.

Fighter pay and treatment has been an ongoing topic of debate in the fight game, and one side of fans believe that the heavyweight champ of the UFC is not being treated well by the promotion.

Joe Rogan wants to see Dana White, UFC, and Francis Ngannou come to an agreement

During The JRE MMA Show #119, Joe Rogan hosted former UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping. The pair discussed this situation and mutually believed that both parties had to compromise to arrive at the best outcome possible.

I’m really hoping that Dana and Francis, come to some sort of an agreement, and they let Francis box Tyson Fury. I want the man to get that giant, crazy, Conor McGregor style payday,” stated Rogan.

The Ngannou-UFC management disagreement has left fans divided. Rogan seems to be on the side of Ngannou when it comes to moving across this impasse. He truly believes that the Ngannou-Fury fight would break the internet.

Michael Bisping also agreed with Joe Rogan, stating that he’d like to play out the same situation.

Dana White did not wrap the belt around Francis Ngannou at UFC 270

As if things were not already clear enough, a few actions on Dana White’s part got fans reaching for conclusions. The UFC community clearly knew of the business friction between both parties, but things came to light post-UFC 270.

Dana White, who ceremoniously wraps the belt around the victors in a championship fight, was nowhere to be seen after Ngannou’s victory over former interim heavyweight champ Ciryl Gane.

The UFC President was also absent during the post-fight interview for UFC 270: Ngannou vs Gane. When questioned how he felt about it, Ngannou was taken aback a little and stated, “He didn’t come to the press conference? Ah, well, I didn’t know that. Well, it’s been a long time that I’ve been wondering about my future in the company, so … nothing has changed, I’m still in the same position.

Things remain uncertain and ambiguous between both parties. Only time will tell how the management wants to move ahead with Ngannou‘s future in the UFC.
