UFC commentator Joe Rogan‘s unique guest list just doesn’t seem to come to an end. After having the likes of comedian Chris Distefano, and mathematician Eric Weinstein among others over the last week, the successful podcaster saw the return of actor Russell Brand once again in his studio. During his appearance, the duo went over a range of topics that included Brand’s experience living with a homeless man to the idea of the current political establishments.
The actor, who isn’t as regular now as he was earlier on the big screen, also revealed why he might choose to stop doing any big movie role in the future. Along the same lines, Rogan too expressed his views on making a living by following one’s passion and not really being a part of the entertainment industry.

The conversation was initiated by the actor’s views on how news and the general views held by people were influenced by external sources. He claimed, despite that, if one chose to, they could always find authentic information. In doing so, Brand states that he has learned how some of the things he wondered about turned out to be right.
“… Like, in the end, you start to see, Oh no it’s right, I’m actually right, and it starts to reassure you,” Although he reveals this also made him ponder if there was anything left for him to go back to, “…but one of the things I feel is like, oh man, is that all the bridges burned? I don’t care about that in the same way I once did.”
The 47-year-old then goes on to claim that it could mean that he just might not find himself doing any movies in the future. “Oh, wow, is that it? I’m never going to be in no more movies. I’m never gonna be in a universal movie again.” stated Brand.

Since the British actor has been a part of the entertainment industry for over two decades now, this decision to step away from the profession clearly has left him with an entirely new feeling, which he claims to be ‘weird’.
” …but it’s a weird thing to feel yourself move away from the culture, especially if you’ve been in the middle of it,” he explained.
Joe Rogan shares his idea of making a career, doing the things he loves and not movies
Adding to Brand’s commentary, Rogan, while talking on similar lines, mentioned that he stopped caring about a lot of stuff after making a good amount of money from his Fear Factor stint. He also seemingly agreed to the actor’s statement that he won’t be a part of any movies going ahead.
“… fortunately, I don’t think like that. Once I got fear factor money, I was like, I have some money, I don’t give a f*** anymore. That was the first thing I thought when I started making money and had real money put away.” claimed Rogan.
Ultimately, the long-time UFC commentator stated that this gave him confidence in pursuing the things he was passionate about and choosing to make a living only by doing those stuff.

He explains, “I was like. I make a good living doing stand-up, doing UFC commentary. I don’t have to do sh**. Like I’m not doing anything I don’t wanna do from now on. I’m just gonna pursue the things I enjoy doing and hopefully, I can make a living doing those things.”
Well, there’s clearly no doubt that the 55-year-old has successfully lived the life he had envisioned. And Brand too appears to have transitioned into the role of an influencer with his commentaries available on his YouTube channel.
