UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan does not hold back when it comes to what he thinks and feels. His podcast does just that with the different types of guests in every episode. The JRE, despite having over two thousand episodes, is never short of content.

Despite not seeming like it, the JRE podcast host is 56 years old. Born in the late 60s, Rogan has been through a lot and witnessed quite a lot of changes. During a recent podcast episode, the JRE podcast host talked about why children shouldn’t grow up in the public’s eyes.

In episode #2104 of the JRE experience guest and fellow podcaster Chris Williamson talked about how children growing up in the public’s eyes never amounts to anything good. Williamson takes the exam the example of pop star Britney Spears and child actor, Macaulay Culkin, highlighting how the pressure has gotten to them.

Joe Rogan shares a similar take on the issue. He stated, “I do not think children should be developing in front of the world. I think that’s an insane amount of pressure. I think becoming famous in front of the world is an insane amount of pressure becoming a child. And as you’re growing up, you’re in front of the world that’s not manageable when you’re no one’s designed like that. You’re gonna blow the hardware.”

It’s not really that surprising to see the two share that opinion, given the number of child actors and celebrities that have trouble fitting in later on in life. Rogan is quite the family man, as he is quite transparent about how much he loves his daughters despite not bringing them into the spotlight often.

Let’s also take a look at what he has to say about the impact of social media on children.

Rogan pointed out how young kids are comparing themselves to social media influencers who are using filters and editing their pictures to look good. He explained how dangerous that could be for children saying, “Doing all these things with apps that are not representative of most biological human beings, and you know that’s what Jonathan Haidt talked about that it’s causing all this self-harm and disdain it’s like it’s a weird place we’re in that’s never been really traversed before with human society as far as we know.”
