During the recent ‘JRE MMA Show’ episode, Sean Brady, who was the guest, talked about fellow welterweight Belal Muhammad. The 6-1 fighter appeared confident while claiming that he would beat him in a fight, but what was surprising was the fact that he acknowledged ‘Remember the Name’s as the next welterweight title contender.

“Belal’s good. I know I can beat Belal. But I’m happy for him. He went on to beat Gilbert, he’s gonna fight for the belt next,” said Sean Brady. However, Joe Rogan wasn’t sure if Muhammad’s title fight was a done deal. He inquired, “Is that established? Is he definitely fighting for the belt next?”

Brady mentioned that even though it’s not official, there is no better candidate to fight Leon Edwards than Belal Muhammad. He further stated, “They haven’t announced it but there’s nobody else.” Rogan seemed to agree with it and said, “I would hope nobody leapfrogs him. He deserves it.”

Belal Muhammad has beaten some big names on his way to a 9-fight winning streak. Sean Brady is one of those guys who lost to the 2nd-ranked fighter. Going by that logic, the 33-year-old backed his fellow welterweight star. “He’s beaten most guys in the top 10. He deserves [a title shot].” Meanwhile, Sean Bready also spoke about the hate Muhammad gets. Let’s have a closer look at that front.

Sean Brady claims Muhammad’s not a “bad dude”

While talking about the prospect of a title fight, Sean Brady mentioned that he wondered why Belal Muhammad isn’t liked by many people. He claims that ‘Remember the Name’ is a rather nice individual who puts in the work at the gym. Brady further stated, “I don’t know why he gets so much hate. He’s not a bad dude [and] he trains f***in hard.”

Joe Rogan added that Belal Muhammad doesn’t even swear. The 56-year-old came to realize that when the latter made his appearance on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’. “He’s a great guy. He won’t even swear… You know when he was here… he would say, ‘What the fudge?’ He’d say stuff like ‘What the fudge?'”
