Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett was already a star coming into the UFC. Thus, when he arrived in the premier MMA organization, the Scouser became an instant hit. However, his quick fame didn’t sit well with other fighters. For instance, Joe Rogan told a story about fellow fighter’s not liking Pimblett’s rise.

An excited Rogan suggested how popular the British fighter has become, “Paddy The Baddy! Right away, one fight… Like, it’s amazing”
After praising Pimblett, he said, “You know, fighters got upset by like how popular he was getting, and they were making all these memes where they were putting like his hair on a bunch of different fighters. There was like a whole series of them that were going around. I don’t know if fighters were doing it or if other people online were doing it.”

Pimblett made his UFC debut in September 2021 at UFC Vegas 36 in the UFC Apex against Luigi Vendramini. With an impressive finish, the Scouser won the much anticipated UFC debut in the first round. Before the fight, the Liverpudlian predicted a first-round finish, and he certainly achieved it.
In the octagon interview, the British fighter suggested he is the new marquee fight in the division. Thus, he doesn’t need to call out anybody.

Paddy Pimblett was always a star
Cage Warriors has been a significant promotion for the young and upcoming fighters to showcase their skills. The UFC has picked up many fighters from the European promotion; Conor McGregor being the most notable name from the lot.
Even Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett competed in the Cage Warriors. Not only that, the British fighter was the Cage Warriors featherweight champion, and had also fought for the lightweight championship.

Thus, there was a big hype around him. When his inclusion to the UFC roster was announced, even Conor McGregor had given his blessing to the Scouser.
The UFC promoted Pimblett’s big UFC debut and put him on the main card, and Scouser didn’t disappoint. ‘The Baddy’ has shown all the early signs of turning out to be a megastar. However, his performances inside the octagon have to match his persona.
