The famous Spotify podcaster revealed that he does not know Johnny Depp well but has interacted with him before. He also spoke of Depp’s love for Hunter Thompson. He said, “I think he’s probably a really nice guy, and he had great moments with her. And he keeps going back to those great moments … Johnny, I don’t know Johnny well. I’ve talked to him before but I know of his career and I know of his love of Hunter Thompson.”
As reported by ‘The Richest‘, the actor had an unconditional friendship with Thompson. Both met at Woody Creek Tavern in Aspen, Colorado. Depp was a fan of Thompson’s work. Their friendship thus only flourished. As a result, Johnny Depp played Thompson’s character in ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’.
“I met him once personally in the comedy show, but I talked to him on the phone for an extended period of time once when he was dealing with all this sh*t and I think he is a really good guy,” Rogan added.
