Jon Jones has been a force to reckon with inside the Octagon. The former UFC light heavyweight champion was never officially defeated inside the octagon. This only loss was through a disqualification. Even after stepping in with some of the most skilled fighters on the UFC roster, Jones came out victorious every time.

Despite him being one of the greatest inside the Octagon, his career has never been short of controversies. ‘Bones’ has seen the dark part of the sport very closely. Right from getting stripped off his title to failed USADA tests. However, one person who had his back in these dreaded times was UFC’s most famed commentator, Joe Rogan.
Joe Rogan’s inspirational chant to Jon Jones
On one episode of his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, Rogan went on to describe how Jon Jones’s exceptional career was plagued by his issues outside the cage. Rogan quoted, “Jon Jones, with this, becomes the number one f**kup of all time, for sure, if he wasn’t already”.
In spite of Jones’s issues, the JRE host still believed Jones to be one of the best fighters in the UFC. Talking to his guest of the episode, Will Harris, Rogan, revealed the exact motivational words he spoke to Jones.
Rogan mentioned, “He’s a wild man. I had a conversation with Jon when all that s*** was going down.”
In addition, he quoted his own words of motivation to Jones, “I called him up, I said you are a wild motherf***er – and that’s the type of guy that becomes the greatest of all time.“
Rogan continued, “You don’t get to be the greatest of all time just being a normal person. I go that’s just who you are. Maybe you made mistakes, you’ve done stupid s***, but you’re still the greatest motherf***er of all time and you could show the world.”
The UFC commentator wanted the fighter to bounce back and prove himself to the world.
Is Jones Jones returning because of Joe Rogan?
Rogan’s motivation definitely worked as the chants of ‘Bones’ return are now being heard louder than ever. The former champion appeared at the ‘UFC Hall of Fame’ induction and mentioned how he felt ‘great’.

Jones also mentioned, “right now he was 255lbs,” and his “goal was to go up to 270lbs”.
A majority of the MMA fans want to see Jon Jones in the Octagon yet again. Hence, is planning a comeback in the heavyweight division.
