Joe Rogan Receives Honest Words From UFC 281 Winner Alex Pereira for Constant Aid Over the Years

The UFC 281 was all delight for the rising star of the UFC, Alex Pereira. The Brazilian went on to defeat the reigning Middleweight Champion, Israel ‘The Last Stylebender’ Adesanya, in the highly exciting main event of the UFC 281. Despite a shaky beginning to the bout, Pereira grew stronger as the rounds advanced. ‘Poatan’ finally managed to score a standing knockout against the former champion, Adesanya, in the fifth round of the bout. In his post-fight interview, Pereira sounded very humble and thanked everyone who had ever supported him. His thankfulness extended to the color commentator of the UFC, Joe Rogan, as well.

Joe Rogan is a former martial artist himself and prefers keeping a keen eye on worldwide news related to the fighting game. He had also previously discussed Pereira on his famed podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. The martial artist in Rogan had recognized Pereira’s awesome potential a lot earlier.

Alex Pereira’s dedication made him a champion

Joe Rogan began ‘Poatan’s’ post-fight interview by questioning, “Alex, a tremendous tremendous fight and a very quick rise to the title. In your fifth fight ever in MMA, you are now the undisputed Middleweight champion. How good does this feel?”

Pereira answered in his native tongue, but his interpreter quoted him, saying, “I feel so good. Been training all my life. I worked so hard for this win. Sorry to everybody, I had to post some stuff, do a little bit of trash talk. But I had to get on his head to battle this fight.”

Joe Rogan also stated the fight’s proceedings and how Pereira knocked down Adesanya in the fifth round. Poatan’s interpreter once more quoted, “Well, was a very hard fight. But I was going through a fight every day at the gym. I was going through five rounds all the time.”

Pereira also offered a bit of callout in this interview stating that whoever in the weight class thought themselves to be ready to go five rounds would be fit for his next opponent. He also said that he was “ready to go for the next”.

Joe Rogan went on with the interview and put up a mind-blowing fact, saying, “What’s even more incredible is that this only your fifth MMA fight, you’re only gonna get better at MMA. So congratulations on becoming the new UFC champion.”

Pereira evidently appreciated the amount of support from everyone believing in him. His interpreter quoted, “Thank you everybody who’s been supporting my work”. Pereira also had the knowledge that Rogan recognized and appreciated his potential a lot before he became a name in the UFC.
