Joe Rogan knows what it’s like to make a whole lot of money. The podcaster recently extended his contract with Spotify for $250 million. His pre-existing deal with the same streaming platform was already worth over $200 million and that’s not something every podcaster gets to see.
Rogan began his journey early and started becoming wealthy early too. In a recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience, he shared the mic with rapper That Mexican OT and told him about the time he scared his manager for spending too much.

You read that right, Joe Rogan was once rather rich and rather young. That Mexican OT and he were discussing how they spend their money. It’s interesting to note that the artist is only 25 years old and is enjoying the fame and wealth.
Rogan recalled a similar time when he ended up getting his hands on a lot of money thanks to a deal. He too, was only 25 at the time and he indulged himself like no other. So much so that he ended up getting a call from his manager who thought he had a gambling problem.
“. . .It’s a problem when you first start getting money right, you just get indulgent. . . When I was 25 I got a development deal and uh I was spending so much money my manager called me up he thought I had a gambling problem, he’s like do you have a gambling problem, I go like ‘no I’m eating steak and lobster every night’.”
The conversation was hilarious and both of them shared a good laugh over it. Joe Rogan clearly has a sense of humor about the way that he has spent his early days. Now, he sits down on his mic with his streams collecting hundreds of thousands of views every day. But could he have done better?

He believes that Spotify saved Rogan from criticism when many were flaming him for the use of a certain kind of language and portraying freely whatever he wanted to on the podcast. In return, Rogan has decided to stick with the streaming service.
